Todas las formas naturales tienen la organización de su crecimiento y desarrollo basada en la geometría fractal. La ciencia del caos estudia estos comportamientos que abarcan también factores de la actividad humana como la evolución de los valores de la bolsa.
Esta base fractal es lo que provoca una similitud entre las formas de las nubes y las de los árboles. Así mismo estas reglas caóticas de desarrollo están tan dentro de nosotros que tienen la capacidad de mostrarnos sugerentes formas que yacen escondidas en nuestra mente.
Estas características crean una Ambivalencia entre árboles y nubes que es lo que he tratado de representar.

No sabemos que hay dentro de nuestra mente o no conocemos todo lo que puede haber. Hay muchas actividades humanas que estudian este hecho. La mente engloba una serie de conceptos como la psicología, las respuestas básicas animales y la espiritualidad. Como concepto abarca demasiado quizás. Ya que la espiritualidad se sale fuera de los contornos del ser humano y se adentra en conocimientos, sentimientos o percepciones que superan al humano como tal.
La capacidad de reconocer formas es casi ilimitada, no hay barreras, sólo la capacidad de asociación, tanto consciente como inconsciente, es lo que hace de este hecho una herramienta fundamental para trabajar con la imaginación. De una forma se va a otra y de esta a más allá, de ahí a un concepto y de este a otros más. Sin embargo no es la capacidad consciente la que más atrae ante la visión de estas imágenes sino la inconsciente.Sólo hay que quedarse mirándolas un corto espacio de tiempo para empezar a profundizar sin pensamiento. La mirada busca paralelismos y asociaciones entre las propias formas.
El test de Rochard es un sistema de estudio del comportamiento humano probrado cuantitativa y cualitativamente para estudiar la personalidad y tiene su fundamento en esta capacidad de asociación de formas aparentemente abstractas con la realidad de nuestra propia mente y espíritu. De tal manera que los psicólogos han buscado relaciones entre las interpretaciones de diferentes individuos a las mismas formas del test para desentrañar e interpretar aspectos coincidentes en la base de sus personalidades.
Este test, igual que estas imágenes, o las que vemos simplemente caminando por un bosque o mirando las nubes, nos muestran cómo respondemos al estímulo de la imagen. Unos ven un viejo, otros una ardilla, otros un carro volador. Yo creo que este “juego” estimula nuestra imaginación y sirve de fundamento a la actividad introspectiva.
Otro ingrediente que forma parte de Ambivalencias es la belleza. En este aspecto el fotógrafo no hace mas que extraer una parte del conjunto para mostrarlo, digamos, fuera de su “contexto” natural.
No hago interpretaciones conscientes cuando tomo las fotografías sino después, cuando hago la selección y el tratamiento en el ordenador. No cambio nada en las formas, me limito a ajustar los niveles tonales, el contraste y brillo de la imagen. Actividad que gracias a la fotografía digital se ha potenciado enormemente.

I don’t make conscious interpretations when I take the pictures but later, when I make the selection and the treatment in the computer.
